About Us:

We are looking for a Retail Operations Coordinator to join our Waste Recycling Team based at our Tangmere Composting Site, to provide key administrative and coordination support between the retail operations team and the sales department.

The site operating hours are Monday to Friday 07:30am – 5pm and Saturday mornings 7:30am-1pm and the successful candidate will work within those core hours.

We are open to this role on a part time basis and looking for someone to work between 32 and 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include:

· Coordinate the processing of customer orders from receipt to dispatch, ensuring all relevant information is communicated between departments.

· Maintain up-to-date stock movement records, liaising with production to ensure accurate availability and replenishment plans.

· Act as the communication point between the Sales Team and Operations, ensuring service levels are met and customer needs are understood and fulfilled.

· Support implementation of the production schedule by ensuring all required orders are logged, prioritised and allocated for packing and dispatch.

· Provide administrative support for traceability, including accurate labelling, record-keeping, and compliance with internal procedures.

· Update order boards and stock sheet; assist with regular stock checks as required.

· Assist in the upkeep of KPIs relating to order processing, turnaround times, complaints and dispatch performance.

· Work effectively and constructively with other business areas to achieve common goals.

· Proactively highlight potential service issues and coordinate with operations and logistics teams to resolve delays or queries.

· Assist with quality assurance checks from an administrative perspective, recording and reporting any issues flagged by operational staff.

· Support the use and maintenance of the internal weighbridge or stock systems (training provided) as required to ensure continuity when colleagues are absent.

· Assist with PPE/stationery stock levels for the department, liaising with central services for replenishment.

We are looking for someone that has:

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within a logistics, retail or production environment.
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player, capable of working with multiple departments and personalities.
  • High attention to detail and process accuracy.
