About Us:

We are looking for a Site Operative / Machine Operator to join our Waste Recycling Team, based at our Tangmere Composting Site.

This is a salaried role, and the working hours are Monday to Friday 07:30am – 5pm and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

We are however, open to this role on a part time basis.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include:

· Loading compost screeners, shredders and lorries

· Mixing compost products

· Making product deliveries and or waste collections by tractor and trailer

· Lawn mowing, strimming, digging or shovelling

· Ensuring the site is tidy and secure at the end of each working day and complying with health and safety, consistently following quality procedures and standards

· Completing machinery checks

· Following supervisor / line manager instructions and following standard operating procedures (SOP’s)

Required Experience/Qualifications:

We are looking for someone that has:

· A full Driving Licence – this is a must

· Some experience working with machinery

· A flexible attitude, including Saturday morning working on a rota basis (currently 1 in 3)

· Good timekeeping and a positive and professional approach to work

· A willingness to help others, work with others towards a shared team vision and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues

Beneficial Knowledge/Experience:

If you have machinery tickets (telehandler, 360 Excavator, Loading Shovel and MEWP), this would be advantageous.

However, please do apply even if you do not have these tickets as full training will be provided.
