Licensed Waste Management Site and Recycling Centre Green waste and wood waste recycling
The Woodhorn Group operates two licensed waste management sites in West Sussex with a total licensed capacity of 100 000 tons.
These have direct access to the A27 and A259 respectively.
In excess of 50 000 tons of green and garden waste is composted annually and this is turned into our Earth Cycle range of high quality peat-free composts and soil conditioning products.
We also accept waste wood which is processed into a woodchip for board making (e.g. chipboard and MDF for construction materials and kitchen units) and as a renewable energy fuel source.
Metal nails, for example, are separated and also sent for recycling.
Licensed to accept:
EWC Code 02 01 03 – plant tissue waste
EWC Code 02 01 04 – wastes from forestry
EWC Code 03 01 01 – waste bark
EWC Code 17 02 01 – wood
EWC Code 20 01 38 – wood other than mentioned in 20 01 37
